Herbs

I don't know about you, but I am always looking for new herbs and their health benefits ...and I found one. Chickweed.

The major plant constituents in Chickweed are Ascorbic-acid, Beta-carotene, Calcium, Coumarins, Genistein, Gamma-linolenic-acid, Flavonoids, Hentriacontanol, Magnesium, Niacin, Oleic-acid, Potassium, Riboflavin, Rutin, Selenium, Triterpenoid saponins, Thiamin, and Zinc.(http://www.altnature.com/gallery/chickweed.htm)

AND, for people like me who seem to get a skin rash just thinking about nickel jewelry, Chickweed is good for skin irriations.

You can drink it in a tea, eat it in salad, or use it as poultice on your skin.

My next step -- finding the herb and infusing it...if you get a chance, let me know of your adventures with Chickweed!
